Policy Statement.

PART 1: Statement of Intent

This is the Health & Safety policy of Badger Plant Training Ltd

 

The statement recognises JAB Ltd under the Health & Safety at work act 1974.

Our Health & Safety Policy is to:

·      Protect the health, safety and welfare of its employees and others who may be affected by its activities.

·      To do all as is reasonably practicable to prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related ill health.

·      Maintain health & safety risks and provide safe working environments and conditions.

·      Provide clear instructions and information and adequate training to ensure employees are competent to do their work.

·      Consult with employees on matters affecting their health, safety, and well-being.

·      Provide and maintain safe plant and equipment.

·      Ensure safe handling, storage and use of substances.

·      Implement emergency procedures.

·      Provide personal protective equipment, as necessary.

 

This policy is to be applied to all activities carried out by the company.

This policy must be enforced by the Directors and observed by all employees.

PART 2: Responsibilities for health and safety.

The responsibility for determining the Company’s policies on the health, safety and welfare including revision of the policy lies with the Directors of the Company.

This policy will be reviewed upon significant change when deemed necessary or as a minimum annually.

1.         Overall and final responsibility for health & safety.

·      The person for overall and final responsibility for health & safety is Adrian Bunyard (Director).

·      Each employee shall recognise personal responsibility for observing the Company’s health & safety policy.

·      The implementation of this policy will be undertaken by the Director of the Company responsible for health & safety.

2.         Day-to-day responsibility for ensuring this policy is put into practice.

·      The person responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the health & safety policy is Adrian Bunyard (Director).

3.         To ensure safety standards are maintained / improved the following people have responsibility in the following areas.

·      Adrian Bunyard

o   Safety.                                                

o   Risk Assessments

o   Consulting employees.

o   Accidents work related ill health and investigations thereof.

o   First aid.

o   Monitoring.

o   Emergency procedures.

o   Fire.

o   Maintaining equipment.

o   Information, instruction, supervision, and training.

4.         All employees should:

·      Cooperate with directors on matters of health & safety.

·      Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.

·      Report all health and safety concerns to an appropriate person as above.

 

PART 3: Arrangements for health & safety.

The general safety objectives for the company are:

·      To promote, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy environment for all employees in so far as they are affected by the Company’s activities.

·      To protect all employees, customers, public and suppliers of goods and / or services.

 

Risk Assessment.

·      We will complete risk assessments as deemed relevant and take appropriate action.

·      We will review risk assessments upon significant change of working methods or conditions.

 

Training.

·      We will give suitable and sufficient training to employees.

·      We will provide appropriate personal protective equipment.

·      We will make sure suitable arrangements are in place for employees who work remotely on customer premises.

 

Consultation.

·      We will consult employees routinely on matters of health & safety and formally upon review.
